Before joining Resa's Pieces, I last played my clarinet in high school as well as completed my Grade 8 piano Certificate with the Royal Conservatory of Music.
I'm proud to be one of the original "Pieces". Within a month of hearing Resa's idea of starting an adult band I came out to the 1st rehearsal with my high school instrument in hand. That was 14 years ago! I am so lucky to have been music back in my life. Being with the Band has been, and continues to be, an amazing personal journey!
Further, I am thrilled to be serving as President of Resa’s Pieces. It's truly exciting and rewarding working together with Resa, Resa’s Pieces’ Board and all of our members. Resa's Pieces has become my second family.
I have enjoyed participating in leading the Band's growth; in membership, in patron numbers, in reaching higher standards, and in fulfilling dreams that we all continually work hard to achieve together.
It's been truly fulfilling watching the Resa's Pieces String Orchestra develop and witnessing it's successful growth.
I am now thrilled to welcome Resa's Pieces Singers, our 3rd ensemble, to our family knowing that it won't be long for this choir to be a thriving entity.
Resa's Pieces has blossomed into a successful organization where "do you best but have fun" is the mantra. It's so wonderful sharing Monday nights and weekly rehearsals with like-minded people from all walks of life. I'm so proud to be part of this FUN organization.
I look forward to leading the Concert Band, Resa's Pieces String Orchestra and Resa's Pieces Singers to new heights and future successes.
